The film opens on a joyous note with the couple's 25th wedding anniversary. The family is picture-perfect, living by the motto "Hum Saath Saath Hain" (We Are Together). The plot thickens as the sons find love. Vivek, who has a physical disability in one arm, marries the understanding Sadhna (Tabu); Prem is engaged to the beautiful doctor Preeti (Sonali Bendre); and the vivacious Vinod pairs up with Sapna (Karisma Kapoor).
