A popup will instruct you to: "Please turn off the printer." Press the physical power button on your Epson L3160. Once the printer is completely off, click OK on the computer screen.

Epson programs a digital counter inside the printer's motherboard to estimate how much ink has gone into these pads. Once this counter reaches 100%, the printer locks itself down. This is a safety feature designed to prevent excess ink from leaking out of the bottom of the printer onto your desk or damaging the internal electronics.
