Quark Corundum Farm Direct
If you have disabled corundum world generation for performance or personal preference but still want to use the blocks, a datapack called exists. It adds crafting recipes for corundum clusters and blocks, while leaving the regular "spreading mechanics" (a mechanic similar to the one described above, but not detailed in this guide) unchanged. This allows you to have corundum entirely through renewable farming.
Note: Since standard pistons break the crystals, this method yields Corundum Wax/Crystals rather than Silk-Touched blocks. It is perfect for gathering crafting components. Designing a Fully Automated Corundum Farm quark corundum farm
Applying Bonemeal to a base Corundum block rapidly accelerates the growth of side crystals. If you have disabled corundum world generation for
: You can tell if a block is capable of growing by checking for small sparkle particles Note: Since standard pistons break the crystals, this
: If a block is capable of growing, it will emit sparkling particles . If you "wax" the block (similar to copper), it will stop emitting particles and stop growing. Farming Setup
Place observers looking at the air space where the final stage of the Corundum crystal grows. When the crystal reaches maturity, the observer will detect the block update.
Unwaxed Corundum blocks generate sparkle particles. When placed deep underground, they slowly grow upwards into solid crystal towers up to 4 blocks tall. Small crystal clusters will form on top or on the sides of these columns.
